The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) is in Hungary, and during a meeting, Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orban stated that Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show should be broadcast “24/7.”

CNN relayed the politician’s words, sharing his recommendation for conservatives to gain and maintain power. Orban and his supporters wield significant influence over Hungarian media outlets and add that the GOP having its media is the best way to fight the left’s agenda. 

“Of course, the GOP has its associated media, but they do not compete with the dominance of the liberal press. Only friend Tucker Carlson places himself on the line without wavering,” Orban said. 

“His program is the most-watched. What does it mean? It means programs like his should be broadcasted day and night. Or as you say, 24/7.”

Carlson appeared for a brief virtual appearance at the CPAC meeting in Budapest. The Fox News host complimented Hungary as “a free and decent and beautiful country that cares about its people, their families and the physical landscape.”

Over the last couple of weeks, the marquee story dominating news media programs is the baby formula shortage that is causing much concern and even resulting in some people hoarding the product. 

During “This Week,” host Martha Raddatz discussed the issue with ABC News senior national correspondent Terry Moran who slammed President Joe Biden for how he and his administration have handled the situation. 

“The political ramifications of it are profound. This can’t be our country where babies are at risk of dying. I mean, if this goes on for a few more weeks, it’s possible we’ll lose somebody because of this,” Moran said, per Mediaite.

“The Biden administration knew about it in February. Whatever came afterwards, whatever the investigations determine, the buck stops in the Oval Office.”

Moran also added that he’s perplexed as to why there was no communication between the FDA and the chief of staff over the issue to come up with a solution rather than letting it get to this point. 

“I don’t know why someone at the FDA didn’t call the chief of staff and say, ‘You know, we had to shut down this baby formula plant, and because of the nature of the American economy and major American corporations where there’s just no wiggle room at all because efficiency, maximizing profits, man, you take one piece out, and the system collapses,” Moran concluded. 

During the big story on Sunday’s “Last Week Tonight,” host John Oliver focused on the damage caused by Subway’s constant expansion over the past 50 years.

The sandwich chain restaurant is currently the biggest of its kind in the U.S. and, for a time, was the biggest in the world. However, despite the various chains in the country, thousands of locations have closed. 

Furthermore, the restaurant’s franchisees, people, or businesses who own and manage specific locations are suffering. The HBO host stated that unlike McDonalds, which tends to owned by investment firms, Subway franchisees are often individuals or families instead due to their location costs a fraction of what it costs to open a McDonald’s.

“Your instinct might be to now never go to your local Subway,” Oliver said. “It might have been your instinct before this segment began, and honestly, it remains a good one.”

“But it’s worth remembering that some have spent their life savings on these stores, believing the promise that they could be their own boss, and are now stuck in a business model that was stacked against them from the start.”

Furthermore, the comedian pointed out that Subways bring in far less money than other chain restaurants. The sandwich chain, on average, brings in about half as much as a Jimmy John’s location and about 14 percent of what a McDonald’s makes in a year. 

Oliver also stated that franchisees must pay corporate 12.5 percent of their gross sales instead of the eight percent McDonald’s requires.
