Cardle, Woolley to Helm Mornings at Talk 1370/Austin

Texas political veterans team up for new show.

Texas talk radio veteran Lynn Woolley and “The Texas Insider” Jim Cardle are teaming up for a new morning talk show, based in Austin.

“Cardle and Woolley” will air on Talk 1370 (KJCE-AM) 7:00am to 9:00am each weekday.

Cardle publishes the online political newsletter TexasInsider.org. He has been a political operative for more than 30 years, including time with the George H.W. Bush administration.

Woolley was the host of an eponyous show for more than 24 years, airing in markets around the state of Texas. He has also been a news anchor in Dallas and Austin and a writer for the Dallas Morning News and the Epoch Times.

Marketron is Functioning Following a Hack into its Database

CEO Jim Howard confirmed that the company was communicating with BlackMatter and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

A company that delivers commercial logs and other management solutions for thousands of radio stations said they are once again functioning about a week after a Russian criminal organization hacked its database.

The breach rendered Marketron helpless as the organization called BlackMatter demanded ransom from the company.

It’s unknown whether Marketron paid the group any money but in a statement to its clients last week, CEO Jim Howard confirmed that the company was communicating with BlackMatter and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

“With the assistance of our third-party specialists, a state-of-the-art endpoint detection and response tool has been deployed to the environment, which is continuously monitored around the clock by security professionals,” said Vice President of Growth Marketing Bo Bandy.

Marketron supplies revenue generation and management solutions, ad tech and mobile advertising platforms, and an array of digital audience engagement tools to help drive new growth opportunities.

Rob Carson’s Talk Show Debuts on WCBM TalkRadio in Baltimore

The addition of Carson forced several lineup changes at the station including moving Bruce Elliot and Sean Casey to morning drive on a re-branded show called Casey & Elliot.

Newsmax host Rob Carson will see his national show syndicated show on the airwaves of Baltimore’s WCBM TalkRadio AM 680, general manager Marc Beaven announced

The Rob Carson Show debuted Monday. Carson hosts multiple shows on Newsmax and is considered a star in the world of conservative news/talk. 

“In our continuous search to give the listeners of Maryland the very best in conservative radio, we are proud to announce the addition of Rob Carson to our lineup,” Beaven said.

“Rob brings major market talk radio skills to the Baltimore market and his presence solidifies WCBM as the best place to receive conservative programming.”

The addition of Carson forced several lineup changes at the station including moving Bruce Elliot and Sean Casey to morning drive on a re-branded show called Casey & Elliot. 

The Derek Hunter Show returns to its previous slot airing from 9:00 a.m. to noon. 

“With the addition of Mr. Carson, WCBM will solidify the position as the place to tune into to receive the very best in conservative programming,” Beaven said. 

Carson is an accomplished video and audio podcaster talking politics, pop culture, comedy, and food. He also has extensive experience as a cooking/lifestyle video host and amateur chef.

Markley, Van Camp & Robbins Show Picked Up by Saga Communications

Markets that have agreed to add the show include Ithaca, New York; Charlottesville, Virginia; Clarksville, Tennessee; Harrisonburg, Virginia; and Springfield, Illinois.

The nationally syndicated Markley, Van Camp & Robbins show is being picked up by five Saga Communications-owned news/talk stations, according to Talkers. 

The show is distributed by Compass Media Networks and is co-hosted by Jamie Markley, David van Camp, and Scott Robbins. 

“We’re excited about welcoming ‘Markley, Van Camp & Robbins’ to the Saga family. They have a fresh approach and do a great job covering the important topics while being upbeat, professional, and entertaining.”

Markets that have agreed to add the show include Ithaca, New York; Charlottesville, Virginia; Clarksville, Tennessee; Harrisonburg, Virginia; and Springfield, Illinois. 

In May, Alpha Media and Compass Media Networks struck a multi-year extension to syndicate the show that included the addition of Scott Robbins as the third co-host of the show. Robbins was one of the original hosts of the show when it was local in Peoria, Illinois. 

The show is now heard in more than 50 markets and airs live from 12-3pm eastern time.
