The Oversight Board set a six-month mark for Facebook to better deal with Trump’s account.

Former President Donald Trump ripped the world’s social media giants Wednesday, after Facebook’s Oversight Board upheld the site’s decision to suspend his account.

Trump called the actions of Facebook, Twitter and Google are a “total disgrace” and the tech companies should pay a political price.

“What Facebook, Twitter, and Google have done is a total disgrace and an embarrassment to our Country,” Trump said in a statement accusing the companies of violating his free speech rights.

“Free Speech has been taken away from the President of the United States because the Radical Left Lunatics are afraid of the truth, but the truth will come out anyway, bigger and stronger than ever before. The People of our Country will not stand for it!

“These corrupt social media companies must pay a political price and must never again be allowed to destroy and decimate our Electoral Process.”

Edison Research has unveiled its Top Podcast Network chart for Q1 2022, with SiriusXM topping the Edison list ahead of Spotify and iHeartRadio.

The Edison list rates the most popular podcast networks based on reach from Edison Podcast Metrics. Edison adds that their ranker measures reach the weekly podcasting listeners as a percentage.

“Edison Podcast Metrics is the only dataset that covers the entire U.S. podcast space,” Edison Research Director of Research Gabriel Soto said, per Radio Ink.

“By surveying listeners and measuring their actual consumption, the data doesn’t depend on opt-ins from networks and isn’t subject to the various issues with counting downloads. These top networks offer a diverse range of shows that appeal broadly to listeners.”

Here are the top ten networks for the first quarter of 2022 ranked by Edison:

  1. SXM Media
  2. Spotify
  3. iHeartRadio
  4. NPR
  5. The New York Times
  6. Audioboom
  7. Audacy
  8. Cumulus Podcast Network
  9. Wondery
  10. PRX

“Rankings are compiled by measuring the total unduplicated reach of all the shows represented by a given network,” Soto added.

“Listening is credited to the producer and/or the network that represents the advertising for the show, not the platform or app that the listener uses to access the podcast.”

Elon Musk’s attempt to purchase hit a significant hurdle when the Tesla CEO stated that an agreement could not move forward without “proof” of a fake account estimate earlier revealed by the company.

Now it seems Twitter will be ready to force the transaction with Musk to go through. According to The New York Times, Twitter’s board said Tuesday that it plans to “close the transaction and enforce the merger agreement” between the entrepreneur and social media giant.

The board and Mr. Musk agreed to a transaction at $54.20 per share,” Twitter’s board said to The Times. “We believe this agreement is in the best interest of all shareholders. We intend to close the transaction and enforce the merger agreement.”

In a regulatory filing Tuesday, Twitter’s board recommended stakeholders in the company vote in favor of the agreement.

Before stating that the deal couldn’t move forward on Monday, Musk said last week that the $44 billion arrangement to buy the company was “temporarily on hold” until CEO Parag Agrawal publicly proved that fewer than 5% of users are bots or spam accounts.
