Afternoon drive just got a local flavor at 103.7 The Game. The station announced that David Grubb is joining the team as their new weekday afternoon drive host. Crunch Time with David Grubb broadcasts from 4 to 6 p.m. starting Monday, June 28. Grubb is also joining as a content creator for 1037thegame.com.
“I’m very excited to be back on the air every day,” Grubb said. “I’ve felt like a part of the family for a while, having been a guest and guest host for a while. I look forward to adding to the lineup my own style and helping The Game continue to grow.”
Grubb started his journey in sports media as a production assistant at WXII-TV in Winston-Salem, N.C., and would eventually make his on-camera debut at KLAX in Alexandria as a sports reporter and photographer. He took a decade away from the business to work in marketing and education before returning in 2013 as a member of SportsNOLA.com.
“David is going to bring an exciting voice, and fresh perspective to our airwaves,” 103.7 The Game Brand Manager Raymond Partsch III said. “From his time spent in the state working in radio, television and writing for websites, David is extremely well versed on all things related to Louisiana sports. That knowledge combined with David’s immense passion for sports talk is something our listeners will love.”
Since his return to sports in 2013, Grubb has worked for Crescent City Sports, The Bird Writes, and most recently MLBbro.com. He also started Hard in the Paint with David Grubb, his own sports talk show that he turned into a podcast. Grubb just wrapped a stint working for the Tulane Athletic Department as a color commentator for Men’s and Women’s basketball.
Lousiana sports fans can listen to the show on 1037thegame.com starting this Monday.
