NBC News’ NBC News Now is heading abroad as the network is launching the service in the United Kingdom this month, the company stated in a press release

The streaming platform will be made available through Sky U.K. and Virgin Media, but there’s no exact launch date yet of when those across the pond will have access to the content.

However, NBC News states that NBC News Now will be the first U.S.-based streaming network to have international distribution on television in Europe.

“We are proud of the immense success and audience growth we’ve had with NBC News NOW in the U.S. and are excited to bring the world-class reporting representing the best of NBC News to more international audiences,” Satpal Brainch, chief commercial officer for NBCU News Group, said.

NBC News Now will remain ad-supported across all its platforms and will be provided at no additional cost to consumers in the U.K. market. The streaming network achieved record viewership in 2021 with an average of 60 million views and more than 20 million hours watched each month.

Podcaster and political commentator Keith Olbermann took aim at media personality Dan Bongino for his comments about World War III last weekend.

The “Unfiltered” host said on his Fox News show Saturday that he believes the U.S. government is slow-walking its people into a major conflict.

“We’re in a really dangerous place right now,” said Bongino. “The sabotage of the crucial Nord Stream pipeline — delivers gas from Russia to Germany — is a really big deal.”

According to Reuters, major leaks that suddenly erupted in the Nord Stream gas pipelines that run from Russia to Europe under the Baltic Sea have generated some theories. Russian President Vladimir Putin has blamed the west.

“Who blew up the pipeline or pieces of it?” Bongino said. “That’s the multi-billion-dollar question. The blame game is already in full swing over who’s responsible.”

“Based on this glazed look in his eyes, the question Dan Bongino SHOULD be asking is: Who knows where I parked my damn car?” Olbermann tweeted in response to Bongino’s post.

Olbermann’s response to Bongino’s post drew plenty of reaction.

“As usual, no evidence, just accusations,” one user said about Bongino’s comments.

“Looking at the performance of Russian equipment in Ukraine, isn’t the culprit more likely a combination of poor construction and lack of maintenance leading to a catastrophic failure?” Another tweet read.

Experts are reportedly calling the leaks an act of sabotage.

MSNBC described the series as a podcast featured on “sitting members of Congress aiding and abetting a plot to overthrow the government. Insurrectionists criminally charged with plotting to end American democracy for good. Justice Department prosecutors under crushing political pressure. Rachel Maddow Presents: Ultra is the all-but-forgotten true story of good, old-fashioned American extremism getting supercharged by proximity to power. When extremist elected officials get caught plotting against America with the violent ultra right, this is the story of the lengths they will go to… to cover their tracks.”

Keith Olbermann: American Journalism ‘Re-Invented’ During Trump Presidency

“The overwriting principle used to be: get a scoop, get in the paper or on the air as soon as possible because that’s your job, and that’s your only actual value to society as well.”

During his Countdown with Keith Olbermann podcast Friday, the former cable news host slammed a recent opinion from Politico’s John Harris that Americans need more journalists like Maggie Haberman, among others.

Olbermann has been critical of Haberman’s decision to withhold important facts in relation to the former President Donald Trump and save them for her upcoming book rather than report them in The New York Times.

“What Harris does not understand is American ‘journalism’ did re-invent itself,” Olbermann said. “The overwriting principle used to be: get a scoop, get in the paper or on the air as soon as possible because that’s your job, and that’s your only actual value to society as well. It is also — and I speak as somebody who broke a lot of sports news including the Wayne Gretzky trade and Michael Jordan’s first dalliance with a comeback — it is the joy of doing the journalism. You have the story, and nobody else does!”

He continued by saying Harris and Haberman believe the point of American journalism is not to inform the public but rather how much money you can make in the process.

Haberman’s book “Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America” is expected to hit bookshelves on Tuesday, October 4th.
