Latino Media Network is nearing completion of a deal that would see them buy 18 radio stations from TelevisaUnivision for $60 million, with the sale being filed with the FCC, per Radio Insight.

The new company is headed by Stephanie Valencia and Jess Morales Rocketto, owning 55.5% and 37% of the Latino Media Network, respectively, with the rest being investors.

“As Latinos drive population growth in the United States they continue to navigate the ocean of information on what is happening in the world and their place in it,” Valencia said.

“With minority media on the decline, now is the time to be investing in more resources to create content for Latinos by Latinos. Through the unique combination of creative content and new and existing media platforms to serve our community, we can embrace cultural pride and collectively empower Latinos.”

With the sale almost done, it would see Valencia and Rocketto have a presence in significant markets across the country, such as Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, and Houston.

“Our company, and these stations, are for our community,” Rocketto said. “We believe in the power and reach of radio and it remains a main source of media for a significant number of our community.”

“We hope to create relevant content for radio and other audio platforms with content that our community can trust and rely on. Latino Media Network is going to ensure that the Latino community continues to be served with the news and information that local communities deserve.”

Here’s the list of Spanish News/Talk stations that Latino Media Network will own once the sale gets approval from the FCC:

  • New York – Spanish News/Talk 1280 WADO
  • Los Angeles – Spanish News/Talk 1020 KTNQ
  • Miami – Spanish News/Talk “Radio Mambi” 710 WAQI

Rich Zeoli: CNN & MSNBC Want Trump to Run in 2024 ‘More Than Anybody’

Zeoli later added the cable outlets wanted Trump to campaign again even more so than the CPAC Dallas attendees.

An unofficial straw poll was taken at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas Saturday, and attendees overwhelmingly suggested they’d prefer former President Donald Trump be the Republican nominee for the 2024 Presidential ticket, garnering 69% of the vote. Rich Zeoli of 1210 WPHT in Philadelphia surmised those in attendance weren’t the only ones who would strongly prefer Trump run again.

“No doubt CNN and MSNBC took sharp turns left during the Trump presidency, but they’re very excited that Donald Trump won the CPAC straw poll vote,” Zeoli said. “So perhaps he will be running (for President in 2024), and perhaps CNN and MSNBC will get to trash him again.”

Zeoli later added the cable outlets wanted Trump to campaign again even more so than the CPAC Dallas attendees.

“You know they want him to run more than anybody wants him to run. It’s them. For the ratings. That’s what they’re looking for.”

Trump is currently both mulling a 2024 presidential bid, while also considering suing CNN for defamation after the network has characterized him as a “liar” for pushing 2020 election conspiracies.
