Dayton is originally from Western Pennsylvania and has over 30 years of experience in TV news.
The station was born on November 2, 1920, and its first broadcast was election results between Warren G. Harding and James Cox.
Entercom, which owns the station, told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that the separation was a mutual decision.
