Cochran is familiar with the Chicago market as he previously hosted mornings on Nexstar Media news/talk WGN 720-AM.
As part of his aggressive campaign, the GOP candidate will host a two-hour show on the Cumulus-owned station.
The new show will debut Sunday, May 1st, and airs every Sunday from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm
Chicago radio veteran Ramblin’ Ray Stevens will be filling in until the station “find a permanent replacement.”
The show debuts on Saturday, Feb 12th, and starts at 5:00 p.m.
Gogoel replaces Mallory Vor Broker who was elevated to on-air reporter covering city hall politics.

Despite the new position, Gale will continue to serve the station as News Anchor for Morning Drive, a position he has held since 2020.
Brown joined Salem in 2006 and previously served as an executive producer at Cumulus Media owned WLS-AM 890.
Dempsey has been in broadcast journalism for nearly four decades, the last 13 at the Cumulus Media news/talk station.
