Alyssa Farah Griffin, Tara Setmayer Likely to Fill Open Seat on “The View”

The NY Post reports that Alyssa Farah Griffin and Tara Setmayer are the likely candidates to fill the open conservative seat on “The View.”

It’s been nearly a year since Meghan McCain exited “The View,” leaving the conservative viewpoint on the show empty and being filled by a rotating guest of co-hosts. However, the New York Post reports that this could be coming to an end.

The Post states that the open seat on the panel will come down to two people who have served as frequent guest co-hosts. Alyssa Farah Griffin, the 33-year-old former communications director for President Donald Trump, and former GOP communications director Tara Setmayer, 46.

“You are starting to see familiar faces over and over,” a source told The Post. “I would expect an announcement before the season ends on August 5.”

“If you watch the show, you can see people who are coming back regularly to join the co-hosts at the table. It is an invaluable experience for the show. And it was always the plan to make sure they had a seat at the table.”

Regarding which of the two women is the favorite for the position, the report cites sources hinting that Farrah is likely to be the frontrunner. A spokesperson for ABC hasn’t responded to The Post’s request for a statement.

Meanwhile, conservative author and media pundit Ann Coulter told The Post in the past that the open seat on “The View” is something she would be willing to take on if offered the position.

“Yes, of course, I would [take the job], but they will never pick me,” Coulter said. “[It seems] they don’t mean what they say. You might be exposing a double-secret requirement: Must be a dumb, easy-to-push-around Republican.”

They should not give the job to Alisa Farrah Griffin and Tara Setomayer on The view because they’re not going to argue the conservative side.
If the view wants to be FAIR they should get an Ann Coulter to be the permanent guest on the show so she doesn’t bow to everyone on the show and will stick up for conservative views and not the views of all the other liberals on that program. The country is divided that means about 50% believe in the opposite of what they believe. PLEASE give 50% of our United States of America a chance to show their views on 1/4 of 1/5 of the panel on The view.
Come August I am never ever going to watch The view or buy any of the products that are advertised on that show if they don’t have someone to debate the other side of what about half that United States of America are thinking, not just you know who and the rest of the panel.
We must land more in the center of politics or we will fail.
United we stand divided we will fall.
    We must compromise!

Veteran TV news anchor and reporter Cynthia McFadden has announced her intention to leave the industry and NBC News behind.

McFadden previously anchored ABC News’ Nightline during her 20 years at the network before joining NBC News as a senior legal analyst and investigative correspondent 10 years ago.

“It is hard to leave a job you love but this is the right time- I have a list of things I have often said I wanted to do ‘someday,’” she wrote in a post on Instagram. “Well, someday is now, while I am still raring to go— and playing with a relatively full deck. Maybe I’ll even surprise you (and myself!).”

She thanked her colleagues and wished them well as she announced that next week would be her final one with NBC News.

“To my NBC friends and colleagues, thank you: for your support, guidance, and wisdom. You are a special group of talented people and I will be watching with pride as you carry on,” McFadden wrote.

He was not allowed to appear live on the network for several months due to continually alleging misconduct by election machine companies Dominion and Smartmatic.

After seeing his New York news/talk radio show canceled last week, Rudy Giuliani could be in jeopardy of losing another media job, this time at Newsmax.

Last week, 77 WABC canceled The Rudy Giuliani Show after the former New York Mayor and Donald Trump attorney refused to cease discussions about the validity of the 2020 election. Now, a report from Mediaite claims Giuliani could be on the chopping block at conservative cable news outlet Newsmax for similar issues.

America’s Mayor Live, hosted by Giuliani, airs on Newsmax2 and is regularly edited to remove the conspiracy theories touted by the former mayor. Reportedly, he was not allowed to appear live on the network for several months due to continually alleging misconduct by election machine companies Dominion and Smartmatic. Fox News famously settled a defamation lawsuit brought forth by Dominion for $787.5 million last year. Cases with other conservative media outlets that touted similar falsehoods continue.

Sources told Mediaite that Giuliani’s conduct has left top network leaders considering axing his show. In a statement, a spokesperson for the former mayor denied there was any acrimony between the two parties.

“Mayor Giuliani enjoys a fantastic relationship with Newsmax and its audience. Newsmax has grown into the successful network it is today, because its audience knows it is getting accurate and relevant information on the news that matters. We appreciate Mr. Ruddy and Newsmax’s commitment to free speech and allowing a vast array of views and perspectives on the air.”

Jen Psaki ‘Skeptical’ CNN, ABC News Presidential Debates Actually Happen

She added that some of the stipulations of the debate could be a sticking point for the Trump camp that could ultimately lead to him reneging on his pledge to appear.

Yesterday, CNN and ABC News both announced dates for presidential debates. MSNBC host Jen Psaki is skeptical the events actually take place.

While appearing on Pod Save America, the former Biden Press Secretary was asked about the surprise announcements that both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump would be debating one another after both had been hesitant to participate.

“I’m still a skeptic, a little bit,” she said.

When one of the co-hosts agreed that she was right to hold that position, the MSNBC host said that the play by the Biden campaign to put the ball in Trump’s court was an “interesting” development.

However, Jen Psaki added that some of the stipulations of the debate could be a sticking point for the Trump camp that could ultimately lead to him reneging on his pledge to appear.

“Trump could certainly say, ‘I never agreed to those specifics in the letter,’ and he probably will, and that’s how this all falls apart even though he’s basically said, ‘I would debate him anytime,’” said Psaki.

As currently constructed, CNN will host the two candidates at its Atlanta studios on Thursday, June 27th. ABC News is set to host its debate on Tuesday, September 10th. Neither event will feature a live audience, and both networks have yet to announce a concrete format or debate moderators.
